HelioSlough, the joint venture between Helios Properties plc and SEGRO plc (formally Slough Estates International), was established in March 2004.
Since its establishment, the joint venture has completed in excess of 107,395 sq m (1,156,000 sq ft). It currently has 146,078 sq m (1,572,370 sq ft) under construction and 1,652,000 sq m (17,786,000 sq ft) secured in the development pipeline.
HelioSlough currently has projects under construction in Chorley (Revolution), Newcastle under Lyme (Lymedale 415) and Sheffield (SIRFT).
Projects secured under option include two extensive parcels of land in the increasingly successful M18 corridor, between Sheffield and Doncaster, now considered one of the best areas for logistics development in the UK These include the Rossington Inland Port (Junction 3, M18), a circa 5,000,000 sq ft logistics development proposal with a dedicated intermodal rail terminal. A similar 3,500,000 sq ft strategic railfreight proposal at the former Radlett Aerodrome in Hertfordshire (Junction 22, M25) will create one of the largest logistics facilities in the South East.
